Who are the Masterminds Behind Eddie's Energy Bars? E-mail

Eddie's Energy Bars were created by a father and son team who have dominated the Vermont kitchen scene since 2004, when testing our recipe first began.  Below you will find employee biographies about the family that created Eddie's Energy Bars.

Owner, Michael Adams
With his eye set on homemade energy bar stardom, Michael Adams decided to create an energy bar that tasted like nothing on the market.  He wanted a bar that was soft, moist, and full of flavor in every bite.  Throughout the two year process, he believes that the Eddie's Energy Bar accomplishes what he wanted, and more.  Through dedication, and a lot of hard work, Michael's company has reached levels beyond his dreams. Michael is already looking towards further expansion.

Michael is currently a sophomore at Bryant University, studying marketing and psychology.  Running this Vermont specialty food business has given him plenty to do while at school.  In his spare time, Michael enjoys hiking, biking, swimming, and being with those who have supported him from the beginning.

Ed Adams, Head of Research and Development
When asked if he knew how to market a homemade energy bar, Ed used to say "I only know what the mass of an electron is".  But now, Ed has thrown himself head first into Eddie's Energy Bars, and is eager to see it continue to grow and succeed.  Ed and Michael took a favorite oatmeal cooke recipe, and completely re-did it, to come up with the original flavor of Eddie's Energy Bars, cinnamon rasin.  To this day, Ed has concocted a total of seven flavors, as well as two seasonal flavors.

With a PhD in Material Science, business was not Ed's forte, however he does work with numbers very well.  Ed is currently working at IBM in Essex, VT and is a Senior Materials Engineer.  In his spare time he enjoys kayaking down many of Vermont's beautiful rivers and reading non-fiction books.

Jeanne Adams, Head of Operations

Keeping a family in line is Jeanne's number one priority, but with three grown kids in the family, things are sure to get hectic.  Without Jeanne, Eddie's Energy Bars would crumble...fast.  Jeanne is the backbone to operations in our small Vermont company.  She bakes, packages, and delivers Eddie's Energy Bars to local stores throughout Chittenden County, and mails out all the orders that come in through our online store.

Jeanne currently works for our local Elementary School, as an administrative assistant as well as a Paraeducator for a fourth grade classroom.  In her spare time, Jeanne likes to read, knit, exercise, and bake.  She is famous in our town for her desserts.
