Jump in the Leaves with Eddie's Energy Bars®!

Dear [NAME],
As the nights in New England get colder, the oven over here at EEB is getting hotter.  We are churning out more energy bars than ever before, and we couldn't be in a better place.  We are jumping in the leaves with excitement, and we urge you to join us! If you would like some delicious Eddie's bars to accompany you on your fall hike, you can pick some up at one of our retail locations, or place an order online . Remember to place them in the freezer, where they'll stay fresh for six months .  Eat them before the rest of your family does, though!

We are very excited to announce our participation in the All Sports, Recreation, and Fitness Expo at the Champlain Valley Fairgrounds in Essex, on October 20-21.  You'll find a coupon for $2 your admission to the expo at the end of this newsletter. Spend the $2 you're saving on the admission price on an energy bar flavor you haven't tried yet!  This is our first big expo; I'll be back from college to help out, and we're hoping our energy bar fans stop by
, check out our display, and wish us luck.  I haven't decided, but there might even be a chance to win a great prize!

Fall is my favorite time of year.  I love the many festivals, and the hearty food is just so much fun to be around.  But, I'm away at school, so I will have to dream about the  chicken pie dinners, especially at the Congregational Church in Richmond, VT, the Harvest Market in Underhill, the cider mill in Waterbury Center, and the final maple creemee of the season.  My list could go on, but I'm making myself way too hungry!  I will also miss the incredible fall foliage in Vermont.  If you've never seen the leaves change on the mountain peaks with a deep blue sky in the background, this should be your year to do so. Make a hotel reservation, get in the car, and head for the great state of Vermont.

Have a joyous October, and may you all have fun jumping in the leaves.

Eddie's Energy Bars is Sending Local High Schools Energy.
When I was in High School, I realized there weren't any locally made foods in my cafeteria.  During the past month, Eddie's Energy Bars changed that by selling in two local high schools in the area, and the response we have received from students and staff is incredible.  Thank you Champlain Valley Union High School, and my alma mater, Mount Mansfield Union High School.  Part of our company mission is to educate consumers about eating healthier and making better choices, as well as emphasizing buying local.  I think we're doing a great job!

WOW! Eddie's Energy Bars are Climbing Everest!

It's not every day you get a call saying your product is heading to the top of the world's tallest peak, Mount Everest.  That's right, folks!  A man from New Jersey read about our Green Mountain Bar in Backpacker Magazine, so while vacationing in Vermont, he picked up some Eddie's bars to take on his trek to the top of Everest. It was so exciting to hear. If you aren't as ambitious to climb Everest, think about hiking a local mountain in your town, with an Eddie's bar for energy.  I guarantee you will see beautiful views when you reach the summit!  You can look for more information on the latest Eddie's news, on our blog.  We're growing rapidly, and it's exciting!

"Why You Need to Get Off Your Butt and Start Exercising!"
by Dinneen Diette

As the days are getting cooler and Fall is officially underway, now is a great time to get off your couch and starting exercising!   The weather is perfect for walks, playing with your kids, bike riding, hiking - you name it!  Exercise and outdoor activities are plentiful this time of year.

You probably already know that exercise helps with weight loss, but did you know that it also helps the mind?  That’s right.  Exercise is the best medicine for both body AND mind.

You don’t have to spend hours at the gym or pay lots of money.  Even just 30 minutes a day of exercise is great.  That’s the same amount of time it would take you watch a television show you’ve probably already seen a dozen times!  Taking half an hour out of your day now, will give you many more hours of healthy living later on.

Though there are literally a hundred reasons why exercise is good for you, I’ll list you my top ten:

Come See Us at the All Sports and Fitness Expo October 20-21 at the Champlain Valley Fairgrounds!
We are going to be at the ASFE October 20-21. As this is our first tradeshow, we are unsure about what to expect. We hope to see some friendly Eddie's faces stopping by.  Come meet me, the owner of Eddie's Energy Bars, as well as my parents: My dad, (Ed or Eddie) is head of research and development, and my mom, (Jeanne) keeps it all together as the director of operations.  We're amazing people with lots of energy, running this company after our day jobs (or college), so be sure to stop by and see how we do it.  Try to take advantage of the 60+ seminars and demonstrations that will be available at this expo.  Here is a link to a coupon you can print out and get $2 off your admission!
