   Dear [NAME],
Happy New Year everyone! We had a tremendous close of 2007 with incredible growth, all thanks to you! We expanded our retail locations and increased our online presence, so we are ready to come at 2008 with a really positive attitude--exactly what you should have on your way to completing your New Years resolution!
Sticking to my resolution is always hard, but below you will find my tips to making it a success. If your goal is to get rid of what I call the "Christmas cookie weight", then Eddie's Energy Bars should be on your list of things to combat it with. With loads of protein and fiber our bars contain enough energy (if not more) for you to make it through the day. Pick some up at one of our expanding retail locations , or place an order online. Remember to place them in the freezer, where they'll stay fresh for six months or so, if you won't be consuming them in the next week.
The new year brings new retail locations and lots more! Read about those locations and more, below in the news section. We're gearing up for Summer 2008 already, and it's looking to be a great year. During the summer, we will be engaging in some events (at least one) that gets Vermonters (and our coast-to-coast customers) off their couch and being active outside. Stay tuned in the coming months for events.
The whole Eddie's Family wishes you and your loved ones a happy 2008! Michael Adams, Owner Eddie's Energy Bars |
Eddie's Energy Bars are Spreading Across Vermont! Our first location we would like to announce is The Village Cup in Jericho, VT. It's a small, peaceful cafe on route 15 with a section of Vermont foods to sell, in addition to their bakery. Secondly, the Rehab Gym in Colcester, VT is also carrying our bars. Sharon and her team up north are awesome to work with, and love supporting local Vermont businesses. If you are looking to rehabiliate a muscle, we highly recommend the Rehab Gym.
Also, we have a few locations that are coming soon, within the next couple of days. As many of you may know, the Sports and Fitness Edge in Essex, VT carries our bars. Now, the South Burlington location has decided to carry them as well! The SF Edge is located on Kennedy Drive in South Burlington. Lastly, as we slowly move our way up north, Colchester High School will be carrying our energy bars for their students.
**Don't worry southern Vermonters, and out-of-staters! If you have a store reccomendation, we will gladly look into it! Please contact us with any suggestions**
Get Outside: Participate in the Frigid Infliction It's 2008, and it's also time to really help you get outdoors. Alot of you are active people, and love to be in the heart of the action. Well, Eddie's Energy Bars is on board as a sponsor for the Frigid Infliction, a winter adventure race sponsored by the Green Mountain Adventure Racing Association (GMARA). It's being held at Bolton Valley Resort on March 1, 2008, and it should be an awesome time! The race includes snowshoeing, potholing, cross-coutry skiing, and tons of navigation around Bolton Valley.
We sponsored the Bitter Pill race in the fall last year and had a blast meeting everyone from around New Englad that came to race. I ended up sitting down to dinner with the 1st place team. Anyway, if you are looking for something new, and an opportunity to get outside, I highly encourage you and a couple of friends to try the Frigid Infliction.
Tips to Keep Your New Years Resolution
If I had to guess, the number one resolution would have to be losing weight. It could be 5, 10, or 20 pounds. What matters is that you stick to your resoultion throughout out the year. Here are a couple of my tips on satisfying your resolution:
1. Tell Everyone: Let your friends, family, and co-workers know what you're trying to do, so that way, they can keep you motivated to complete the task. If only you know, you will find personal excuses to not get off the couch, for example.
2. Set Realistic Goals: Now that you have told everyone your resolution, it's time to set goals. Make sure your goals are reachable. For example, to lose two pounds a week is a better resolution than losing ten pounds a week. Or, helping out at three school events is better than helping out one. The more you do with your child, the better he or she is likely to open up to you.
3. Reward Yourself: So many people (myself included) don't reward themselves for doing job well done. Go out to dinner after your goal is reached. Write the rewards down before you make your resolution, so you have something to look forward to after the goal has been reached. However, it is important to not over do it. Don't reward yourself with a whole deep-dish pizza for losing ten pounds. Then, where has all the hard-work gone once you have eaten the pizza?
Whatever your resolution is, I hope these tips have helped with the planning of your 2008 New Years resolution. Click here to shop for Eddie's Energy Bars--the bar that will help keep your resolution! |
